The Sevastopol Sea Port is recognized as a free port using a separate procedure for the implementation of border, customs and other control procedures in relation to passengers, animals, goods and vehicles.

Port infrastructure management is carried out by the State Unitary Enterprise "Sevastopol Sea Port" (hereinafter also referred to as the State Unitary Enterprise GS "SMP"). GUP GS "SMP" provides a wide range of services for the comprehensive servicing of ships, cargo and crews. The work uses developed port infrastructure, including railway and crane tracks, roads, engineering networks and repair bases.
