In 2015, the first Cooperation Agreement was signed between the two regions for 5 years.
In 2021, an Agreement between the Administration of the Volgograd Region and the Government of Sevastopol on cooperation in trade and economic, scientific and technical, cultural, social, and other fields was concluded at the site of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
For the concluded Agreement, an Action Plan for its implementation was developed.
Tourism, industry, and agriculture are promising areas for the development of cooperation.
The following issues were suggested at the meeting:
- exchange of catalogs of the leading industrial enterprises of the regions to disseminate and consider the issue of cooperation;
- exchange of the nomenclature of agricultural goods produced in the regions to disseminate and consider the issue of supplying products to trade networks including through participation in city fairs;
- exchange of the list of mass events in the regions for 2022 to consider participation in them;
- organization of a substantive meeting between interested enterprises and organizations to consolidate the working relations of the business mission;
- in terms of tourism, proposals for the introduction of tours of the regions through local tour operators to increase the flow of tourists.
The issues of interregional cooperation play an important role for the entire Southern Federal District. The tasks set are aimed at improving the quality of life of people, as well as improving the social and economic situation in the field of subjects.
