Export development results summarised in Sevastopol

A meeting of the Export Council was convened in Sevastopol at the behest of Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev. The event brought together council members, representatives of business communities, and representatives of business support infrastructure. The agenda addressed the results of export activities in 2025 and strategic plans for 2026.

The key results of Export Support Centre (ESC) in 2025 included the conclusion of 15 export contracts. The total volume of supported exports exceeded USD 3 million for the first time.

«The growth dynamics are particularly noteworthy. In 2024, the volume of supported exports was over USD 2 million; by the end of the previous year, it had increased by more than USD 1 million. This indicates not only the quantitative but also the qualitative growth of the foreign economic activity of Sevastopol enterprises,» said Deputy Governor Maria Litovko.

Another key area of focus has been international certification. In 2025, 23 Sevastopol companies received the «Made in Russia» certificate with the assistance of the Export Support Centre. This quality mark confirms the high standards of products at the international level and serves as a guarantee of reliability and authenticity of origin for international partners.

«The Sevastopol government will continue to promote export activities proactively. The introduction of new tools and the continued momentum from previous years will likely result in a significant increase in the number of export contracts as early as 2026. This will open new foreign markets for Sevastopol manufacturers,» said Maria Litovko.

The region’s initiatives to create favourable conditions for exporters have received significant recognition at the federal level. Following the implementation of Regional Export Standard 2.0, Sevastopol achieved first place among the subjects of the Southern Federal District and entered the top ten of the best regions in Russia.

In 2026, the work will reach a new level with the launch of the updated Regional Export Standard 3.0. While ensuring the continuity of best practices, the new stage includes several priority areas:

  • Digitising export support measures: simplifying access to services for entrepreneurs through modern digital channels
  • Building and analysing an exporter database and conducting export audits: conducting in-depth analyses of enterprises’ potential and addressing their specific needs
  • Developing and implementing Regional Export Development Programme: forming a unified strategy aimed at systematically increasing non-resource non-energy exports
