Sevastopol authorities told reporters about trade with China

For two years, entrepreneurs in Sevastopol have signed export contracts with China worth nearly $900,000. This was recently announced by Maria Litovko, the Deputy Governor of Sevastopol.

In 2022 and 2023, small and medium-sized businesses in Sevastopol, with the help of the Export Support Center, signed five export contracts totaling $891,600. The majority of exports, amounting to $763,534, were in the chemical industry sector, followed by $83,646 in food industry products, and $44,500 in knowledge-intensive services.

In 2022, imports from China totaled $907,600 according to customs data. The majority of this amount consisted of goods from the categories “Essential oils and resinoids; perfumes, cosmetics or toiletries” ($591,600) and “Electrical machinery and equipment, their parts; sound recording and sound reproducing equipment, equipment for recording and reproducing television images and sound, their parts and accessories” ($224,000).

In the first half of 2023, Sevastopol imported goods totaling $94,900 from China, with products from the “Products of ferrous metals” category amounting to $91,720.
