Sevastopol entrepreneurs presented the region at the AgroRus exhibition for the first time

AgroRus, the largest international agro-industrial exhibition in the north-west of Russia, was held in St. Petersburg from August 30 to September 1. More than 250 companies from 3 countries and 20 regions of Russia took part in it.

For the first time, six entrepreneurs from the Hero-City of Sevastopol together showcased their products. They received support from the Export Support Center, situated in the My Business center, operating under the national project for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises.

“Participation of our entrepreneurs in an event of this magnitude once again demonstrates the ongoing sustainable growth of small and medium businesses in Sevastopol. With the help of the My Business center as part of the national project for SMEs, many Sevastopol residents who run their own businesses have had the opportunity to reach out to new customers and build connections with potential business partners. The image of entrepreneurs is becoming more attractive thanks to the national project, and administrative barriers are being eliminated”, stated Maria Litovko, Deputy Governor of Sevastopol.

At the collective booth, entrepreneurs displayed a range of products such as spices, flavor enhancers, protein bars, a new device for winegrowers, sensors to track humidity levels and collect environmental and plant-related data. The natural chocolate bars, freeze-dried fruits, and cardboard packaging products were highly sought after.

“My Business center assists entrepreneurs in finding new clients and increasing their sales, even on an international scale. Taking part in exhibitions provides a great chance to display products and network with potential buyers and business partners. My Business center takes care of organizing tasks, registration fees, exhibition space rental, booth construction, and help entrepreneurs with presentation materials”, explained Natalia Borisova, Director of My Business center.

During three days, companies of Sevastopol engaged with over 300 potential customers and conducted more than 20 meetings with entrepreneurs. They also observed a significant interest in their products from buyers across various regions of Russia and international visitors.

“This year is my second time participating in the exhibition with assistance from the My Business center. With state support, I want to grow my sales territory and attract new customers. Our products are known for their quality, variety, and we meet the requirements of numerous exporting companies. I can wholeheartedly say that the exhibition lived up to my expectations as I received a lot of requests for quotes and business proposals”, said entrepreneur Yuri Peftiev, who is engaged in the production of corrugated cardboard packaging.
